FAQs
WHAT IS KITEBOARDING OR KITESURFING?
Kiteboarding or kitesurfing is an ultimate combination of several water and wind sports, such as wakeboarding, sailing and paragliding. An individual riding the kite, a kite boarder, surfs on water leveraging wind power harnessed by a large sail-like kite. The word kiteboarding is mostly used in North America, while a kitesurfing is more of a European term. Both terms refer to the same sport. Other commonly used terms are snowkiting (in winter), land boarding (kiteboarding on land board with wheels) or kiting that generally describes all of the above.
