School
The iKite School is a Kiteboarding School based in Toronto offering IKO certified kitesurfing and snowkiting lessons. Our location in southern Ontario gives us the advantage of being surrounded by a large number of lakes. This allows us to choose from a broad range of kitesurfing locations convenient for teaching all skills levels, beginner to advanced. In the summer we teach kiteboarding, in the winter when the lakes are frozen over and covered with snow we teach snowkiting.
Our History
Our kite school was founded in 2011 by a group of kiteboarding enthusiasts who were passionate about a sport, driven to achieve the highest levels of performance and were excited about sharing their enthusiasm with others. Since the beginning our school has quickly become the #1 full-time kiteboarding academy in Toronto. Currently, the school is led by the head coach Andrei Reounov.
Our Commitment
At the iKite School, we promote safe teaching of all levels of kitesurfing and snowkiting – for beginners and for those who want to improve their kite riding skills, jumps and tricks.
Our aim is get our students to a level of comfort that will allow them to start practicing the sport independently as soon as possible!
With the help of our iKite club members we continuously support active living and the kiteboarding communities of Ontario and Canada by organizing kiteboarding events. Additionally, we organize various kiteboarding destination trips to the U.S., Caribbean and Europe where our students have the opportunity to learn kiteboarding in consistently windy environments and flat water, which are the best conditions for beginners.
Our Team
Our full-time professional kiteboarding instructors have many years of experience. Since we’ve been operating we have gained extensive knowledge of working with students of all ages and skill levels. We know how much depends on the instructor’s actions and attitudes. Our instructors have exceptional skills and understanding of the sport and they are able to communicate this with a creative approach to the every student.

For us, as official representatives of a safe kiteboarding community in Ontario, it is of the utmost importance that each lesson is accompanied by an IKO Certified kiteboarding instructors.
iKite School follows international safety rules and regulations and promotes safe activity within the kiteboarding sport in Ontario. Our instructors are certified kiteboarders and teach all of the necessary skills in avoiding dangerous situations to ensure you enjoy kitesurfing safely. Periodically, we run free courses on equipment tune-up and maintenance, ensuring the development of safe practices within the kiteboarding community.
Teaching the New Generation
The iKite School also has a kiteboarding program for kids. Kiteboarding is a relatively young sport and we strive to engage the younger generations in an active lifestyle from childhood, so they can grow together with the sport.
