Spring Tune-up and Safety Clinic

Every year iKite Club runs a free kiteboarding tune up and maintenance class to ensure the Toronto community rides safely. This is a great opportunity to get introduced to the kiteboarding life and get your gear set for the upcoming water season. If you have ever been interested in the sport, then this is your chance to blend into the kiting community and meet club members. Families and friends are welcome. This is a FREE event! We will setup a few kites and if it gets windy on that day you get to try a trainer kite, learn about the equipment, hang around and meet like-minded people.

During the class we cover important topic such as:
– Kiteboarding safety on Ontario beaches
– Kite safety and quick release systems
– kite line trimming to maximize your kite flying performance

Also you will find out about exiting kiteboarding events and tours in 2018.

We will gather on the large field (see map below) south of Banting Ave and Reiner Rd near Downsview Subway Station. There are plenty of free parking on the streets, just watch for fire hydrants, and please arrive early so you don’t miss anything.
