Kiteboarding getaway to Cape Hatteras

Road trips aren’t measured by mile markers, but by moments.

IKite Canada is excited to announce our third kiteboarding trip to Cape Hatteras, North Carolina. With the water and weather getting colder at the end of September, we will be heading south to continue the kiteboarding season. For this reason it has become a tradition of ours to visit Cape Hatteras a couple of times each year. This location is a favourite due to its shallow water and steady winds. The last trip was a great success, with lots of improvement made by our students. We had wind every day of the week and had daily kiteboarding sessions. As requested we are planning another to trip to party on the beach with friends and expand our kiteboarding community. We have already booked a semi-ocean front house in Salvo, which is 5 minutes away from the Salvo Day Use area – one of the best beginner kiteboarding spots in the Sound side, and it is just a two minutes walk from the ocean.

This time around we have room in the house to accommodate 12 people. Additional bonuses will include wireless internet access, a hot tub and our own private swimming pool for pool parties after the sun sets! Outdoor showers will be available for washing equipment after salt water. The family room has a flat screen TV with DVD player, board games and video library.

Approximate expenses to be expected per individual are $800 including transportation, accommodation and food. The method of transportation is a large 12 passenger van with lots of room for equipment. Equipment rental and lessons are extra. Book your lessons in advance.
