Oliphant Beach Kiteboarding at Bruce Peninsula, north of Sauble Beach
Kiting activities: Water kite boarding, windsurfing.
Rider skills/level: Best spot for any level – beginners, intermediate and advanced.
Water conditions: Lately, both beaches are flooded. Generally, very shallow, clean water, only 3-5 feet deep. Most of the time flat with small chops. Stronger winds may create small waves. No swimmers. On windy days the water and beach gets crowded with kiteboarders. Since the flood happening the beach area had dramatically decreased.
Wind direction: Due to the large area of shallow water this location works well with any wind direction. Off-shore winds require boat assistance. For beginners, we recommend sticking to NW, W and SW winds.
